Thank You for Your Service Cards

Veterans and service members

Thank You for Your Service Cards

Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, 2026, and a handwritten card is one of the simplest ways to thank someone for their service. Our two American flag sets show a hand-drawn flag on natural cream cardstock. The American Flag Thank You set adds Thank You in script in the corner, and the Old Glory set keeps the front to the flag alone. Both are blank inside, with an envelope for every card.

Each set comes with an envelope for every card, and every card is blank inside.

Who to thank

Thanks for the people who serve.

Veterans

On Veterans Day, or any day you want to thank a veteran in your family or neighborhood.

Active duty and their families

Letters during a deployment, welcome home notes and cards tucked into care packages.

First responders

Police officers, firefighters, EMTs and dispatchers.

Groups and classes

A set of 12 or 24 lets a class, office or club write to several people at once.

What to write

Ideas for the inside.

Thank them for something specific. The branch they served in, a story they told you, or what their service meant to your family is worth more than a general thank you.

Veterans Day message ideas

Example

Dear Mr. Alvarez,

Thank you for your 22 years in the Army. Our street is lucky to have you as a neighbor.

We are grateful for your service, today and every day.

The Nguyen family

A greeting, one specific thank you, one line to close, and your names.

Questions

Asked most often.

What is the difference between the two sets?

Both have the same hand-drawn American flag on natural cream cardstock. The American Flag Thank You set adds Thank You in script in the corner. The Old Glory set shows the flag with nothing else on the front, so it works for any message.

When is Veterans Day 2026?

Veterans Day is Wednesday, November 11, 2026. It honors everyone who has served in the U.S. armed forces. Memorial Day, the last Monday in May, honors those who died in service, so a message of remembrance fits that day better than a thank you for your service.

What should I write besides "thank you for your service"?

Add one specific detail: their branch, the years they served, a story they shared, or what their service meant to you. If you do not know them well, a short, sincere thank you is enough.

Are the cards blank inside, and where can I buy them?

Yes, every card is blank inside and comes with an envelope. Our card sets are sold on Amazon, and each set on this page links to its Amazon listing, where you can see the current price and delivery date.
