Recycled envelopes

Each card comes with its own envelope, also made from recycled paper.

Plastic-free packaging

Sets ship with no plastic at all: no sleeve, no window and no shrink wrap.

Non-toxic inks

Every design is printed with non-toxic inks.

FSC® C109137

FSC Recycled certified

Twigs Paper holds its own chain-of-custody certificate from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The FSC Recycled claim means the paper is made from recycled material, and an independent auditor checks the records that back it up. You can look up our license code, C109137, on the FSC public database.

On Amazon

Climate Pledge Friendly

Our Amazon listings carry the Climate Pledge Friendly badge. Amazon gives it only to products with a recognized sustainability certification, and ours comes from the FSC certification for forestry practices.

Eco-friendly greeting cards

What makes a card eco-friendly.

A greeting card is a small thing, but many are printed on new paper, sold one at a time and wrapped in a plastic sleeve. Our boxed sets are printed on 100% recycled, FSC certified paper, include recycled envelopes, ship without plastic, and hold twelve cards to a box, so one box covers many occasions.

If you are shopping for recycled or sustainable greeting cards, these are the things worth checking:

Recycled content. Look for a percentage, since "made with recycled paper" can mean only a small share.
Packaging. Many cards come in a clear plastic sleeve or a box with a plastic window.
Finishes. Glitter, foil and plastic coatings make a card harder to recycle.
Blank inside. A blank card works for any occasion, so fewer cards go unused.

When you are done with a card, most plain paper cards can go in household paper recycling. Cards with glitter, foil or batteries usually cannot, so check your local rules. See all card sets or read our story.

Still working on it

What we are still working on.

Shipping is the big one. Our sets are sold and shipped through Amazon, which is fast and reliable, but it means many small parcels instead of a few large ones. If you send a lot of cards, a Set of 24 covers more occasions with one box and one delivery.

We will keep this page current as we change materials or packaging. If you have a question about how a set is made, write to us and we will give you a straight answer.
