Encouragement messages

Example

Dear Kate,

I know this month has been a lot. I am proud of how you keep showing up for your family.

I will bring dinner on Thursday.

Love, Beth

Name what they are facing, say you believe in them, and offer one kind of help.

What Is an Encouragement Card?

An encouragement card is a short note to lift someone up during a hard time or before a big step. It can go to a friend who is sick, a family member caring for a parent, a coworker starting a new job or anyone who could use a kind word. Blank cards work best, because you can write what that person needs to hear.

  • Butterfly Garden: bright butterflies for a note about hope and new beginnings.
  • Birds of America: six backyard birds with their names in script, a calm design for a friend who needs a gentle word.
  • Marine Sea Animal and Nautical Lighthouse: watercolor sea life and lighthouses, for friends who feel at peace by the water.
  • Vintage National Park, American Wilderness and Natural Wonders: twelve parks per box, for a new start or a big goal.
  • Boho Rainbow: soft rainbows for a note that should brighten someone's day.
  • Playful Cats and Assorted Dogs: a cheerful pick for a friend who loves animals.

Keep a Few on Hand

A box of 12 lasts a long time when you keep it near the front door with a book of stamps. When a friend comes to mind, you can write three lines and have it in the mail the same afternoon. For help with the envelope, see how to address an envelope.
