After a funeral, a short note of thanks is enough. Sympathy thank you cards let you thank people for flowers, meals, donations or being at the service. Mention what the person did and let them know it helped. No one expects a long letter from a grieving family.
What to write
Start with their name, say one honest thing, and sign off warmly. Copy one of these or use it as a starting point.
